Having left the Mercedes-Benz factory in July of 1977, this car has spent most of its life in Florida and is just out of a long term Mercedes-Benz Club member ownership and having covered a mere 59,500 miles since new, The Manilla Beige paint has been metered and is about 90% original to the car. It shows very well for its age with a small area around the passenger door handle showing some lite checking. There are a few stone chips in the front lower skirt and a couple tiny ones in the hood. The front driver fender does have a dent right on top of the fender and the cowl in between the chrome air vents does have a dent in it. The glass appears to be the original glass and is all free from any cracks or chips. The interior is all original and in fantastic shape for the year. The seats still have great cushioning and the Tex is in great shape. The dash is free from any cracking and all of the wood shows remarkably well. The carpets are in excellent condition and are accompanied by new period coco mats. The tried and true Mercedes-Benz 5 cylinder diesel powered engine has just undergone a full service including an oil change and a filter change. Brand new injectors, a new brake master cylinder and new shifter bushings have also just been replaced. More recent service to the car includes replacement of the pads both front and rear, rebuilt brake calipers and brake servo, new front brake hoses and brake sensors and a brake flush. The alternator was recently replaced, along with a conversion to R134 AC, new high side AC hose and expansion valve, a new heater servo unit. The door lock vacuum system was also recently 2018 the gas tank was removed and pressure tested and cleaned out. The car has new front and rear shocks and new ball joints and tie rods. This 300D is a very solid running and driving car. It pulls very strong with good smooth power. The transmission is smooth with no hard shifts and the brakes feel good and solid. The suspension and steering also feel very tight and solid. All of the exterior and interior lights are functioning as they should. The power windows all operate except for the rear passenger window. The power antenna does not work. The AC has just been recharged and is blowing cold. The undercarriage is very clean and tidy with no signs of any rust anywhere. The body is also rust free. This is an excellent running and driving 300D that has been well cared for.
